Photoshop CS3 Splash Screen

I had to move fast to catch the splash screen before it went away. Of course, you can get the same screen with the Photoshop > About Photoshop menu. But, in any case, here it is:

So, my reaction after a few minutes: It's speedy to launch and OMG did the bottom of my laptop just get hot as hell. Time to fire up the fans using smcFanControl.

Adobe Photoshop CS3 Beta

As expected Adobe has today announced that a Beta version of Photoshop CS3 will be available for download tomorrow (15th December). To use CS3 you will need a valid CS2, Creative Suite 2, Creative Suite Production Studio, Design Bundle, Web Bundle or Video Bundle serial number. Without a serial number this Beta of CS3 will expire in just two days. As well as a range of improvements and user interface changes the biggest news with CS3 is Universal Binary support for Mac OS X, providing much performance relief to Mac Intel owners. Ps_1This is really cool. Tomorrow morning, there will be thousands of graphics geeks all pulling down the Photoshop CS3 Beta. And, we're probably going to see hundreds of first reactions blogged about all over the place. It's like an early Christmas present.
