Painlessly Select and Extract Virtually Anything With Photoshop CS3’s “Quick Selection” Tool.

February 27th, 2007

... Channels, paths I think, and of course, the Magic Wand, and the new Quick Selection Tool in Photoshop CS3. The Problem with Selecting Pre–Photoshop cs3. Ok, I will admit it: I am really pretty bad about selecting people and objects and cutting them out when they are on busy backgrounds. It is hard ...

Photoshop CS3 Shutdown Solution

February 27th, 2007
Recently I have been having a very strange problem with Photoshop CS3. I would run the program for a week or so and then it would suddenly shutdown immediately after startup. Thus I couldn’t get Photoshop CS3 to startup at all. It was driving me crazy and I found there was no solution over at the Adobe forums. Well, after some trial and error, I happen to stumble upon a fix that seems to work very well. At the very least I am not having anymore startup problems with Photoshop CS3. Here is what I did. Browse to C:\Program ... Read entire article

Photoshop CS3 is definitely beta software

February 27th, 2007

Photoshop CS3I was excited upon hearing of Adobe's decision to release Photoshop CS3 as a beta to all licensed owners of CS2. I could finally run the powerhouse application natively, which meant much faster program load times, quicker processing, refined looks,a snappy interface, and new features. However, after using the Universal application for two months, I have come to a slow realization: Photoshop CS3 is definitely still in beta.

There are little bugs in the application which have made it nearly impossible for me to adapt ...

I took the myspace photo from this girl named Beverly and decided to do some touch-ups to see how well I can handle photoshop and enhancing already pretty good photos. I like the way she originally ... Read entire article

Re: What Happened To Storing Palettes in The WellFeedster on: cs3

February 27th, 2007
I'd like to respond here on the decision to drop the palette well. I'm not sure if this will make anyone on this thread any happier, but this is it.

We have built a top-level palette/panel docking workspace that will be nearly identical across 4 products and 2 platforms when we ship the creative suite. To do this, many compromises had to be made and features that were in a single product in CS2, such as the palette well, were closely examined. We feel that the benefits to the customer of having the exact same workspace experience when moving from ... Read entire article

Photoshop CS3 and a MacBook ProRadiant Core

February 27th, 2007

As one of the lucky ones, I had the chance to grab a beta copy of the Photoshop CS3 about a month ago. Like many designers, I have been struggling using CS2 on my shiny new MacBook Pro due to the brilliant yet somewhat boggy Rosetta translation software engine.

First off, I would have to say that I am a fairly heavy duty photoshop user: as we speak I have five two hundred megabyte files on my desktop, and I have been known to shoot off the odd three gigabyte file. So I felt that I was the type of ... Read entire article
