Russell Williams talks about a major change in Adobe’s development cycle for Photoshop CS3, creating a much more efficient process with fewer bugs and an abundance of new features. The waterfall method that was used for previous versions entailed committing to a specific set of new features, struggling to meet deadlines, only to be followed up by frantic bug repairs. The newly-adopted agile method has resulted in less stress and fewer bugs, allowing for a public beta to be tested much further in advance of the product’s release date.
