The time to upgrade is Real Soon

One of the more obscure facts listed in the Photoshop CS3 Beta FAQ page was information that Adobe is breaking from a long standing tradition of allowing anybody with a registered version-even back to Photoshop 1.0-to upgrade to the current version for the same price. Adobe will be webcasting live from New York City an event to celebrate their milestone launch of Adobe Creative Suite 3 on March 27, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. EDT at http://www.adobe.com/go/cs3launch.

Adobe has also teamed up with Apple to present Creative Suite 3 at select Apple Stores in several major cities the day after the announcement.

(Editor’s note: we originally stated, incorrectly that the launch event was going to be broadcast live. Actually, the events at Apple stores will be live presentations of Creative Suite 3 including demos of Photoshop CS3).

XMP 4.1 supports CS3, adds libraries Source: macnn Adobe has posted a new update to its XMP (Extensible Metadata Platform) technology, which allows developers to easily manipulate metadata.
