If you’re having trouble sending or receiving email, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot the issue.
First, check to see if your email account is set up correctly. If you’re using a web-based email service like Gmail, Outlook.com, or Yahoo Mail, make sure you’ve entered the correct email address and password. If you’re using a desktop email program like Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, or Apple Mail, check to see if the email program is set up correctly.
If your email account is set up correctly but you’re still having trouble sending or receiving email, try these troubleshooting tips:
Check your internet connection. If you’re using a dial-up modem, make sure it’s connected to your computer Mail Tracker and turned on. If you’re using a broadband connection, make sure it’s working properly.
Make sure you’re using the correct email server settings. For example, if you’re using a Gmail account, you’ll need to use the Gmail servers (smtp.gmail.com and pop.gmail.com).
Check your firewall settings. If you have a firewall enabled, make sure it’s not blocking email traffic.
Check your email account’s storage limits. If your account is full, you won’t be able to receive any more email.
Try accessing your email from a different location or device. If you’re able to send and receive email from another location or device, the problem is most likely with your original location or device.
If you’ve tried all of these troubleshooting tips and you’re still having trouble sending or receiving email, contact your email service provider or IT department for help.
Note: Email service providers are responsible for all email sent through their servers. If you’re having trouble receiving or sending email, contact the email service provider that hosts your account.
If you’re unable to send email from a specific email address or domain, it could be a problem with your Mail Tracker service provider, your email program, or your ISP.
If you’re having trouble sending email from a specific email address, check the following:
The “From” address is entered correctly.
The email address isn’t being used to send spam.
The email address isn’t on a blacklist.
If you’re having trouble sending email from a specific domain, check the following:
The domain name is entered correctly.
The domain name isn’t being used to send spam.
The domain name isn’t on a blacklist.
If you’re still having trouble sending or receiving email after following these troubleshooting tips, contact your email service provider or IT department for help.
